This building was constructed in order to reduce the transport time from cutting to processing of the grapes. It is divided in several processing stages areas of the grape, including receipt of the grape, fermenting vessel, barrels warehouse, bottles storages, bottling and packaging in addition to the administrative spaces and tasting room. It was built on sleep slope of schist soil, “docked” on the ground, getting partially buried with two different elevated entrances, The highest entrance to the administrative area and serves to the recipt of the grape that is well drained by gravity into the fermentation tanks supported ground floor slab. For low elevation, where are the spaces of productions and warehouses, the finished product comes out.
The building is struturally heterogéneos although generally using laminar concrete elements. Except the use of prefabricated slabs and prestressed type TT in order to overcome the span of the warehouses and to support the loads of 50cm of soil that covers these areas. Also the coverage structure of the grape receiving area its a light metal structure supported by metal columns since it is intended to be possible to open all the way around at the time of harvest and the support have to be perimeter.
Regarding the laminar concrete elements it should be pointed out the slab of the frematiton room, in apparent concrete, which is trimmed with several circles where access to the tanks covers and the administrative area, with much suspended area , solved using the walls beams.
