The main strucutre is constituted by reinforced concrete slabs, supported on reinforced concrete pillars and in an reinforced concrete box, that´s the technical area, stairs and elevators. This concrete box serves together with the columns to ensure the bracing of the building.
The building is in its lower limit buried and the ground floor slab is a mat foundations reinforced in the concetrated load points ensuring a good distribution of the loads on the ground and a good tightness.
It was not possible or appropriate to carry out geotechnical surveys so there isn´t a correct knowledge of either the type of soil, or the foundations of the existing building, which led us to choose the solution mentioned above and also the containment of the buried part along the line of the columns of the existing building with micropiles spaced 0,5 to 0,5 meters, in order to be able to excavate without problems The micropiles will be also used for the execution of the crossing of the existing building.
The analysis of the building frequency was studeid, as it was, the resistence to horizonel actios, and other stresses and deformations with the resource of the calcultaion program ROBOT
